HSMP

The Highly Skilled Migrant Programme closed to new applicants in February 2008.

However, if you received an HSMP approval letter before 3 April 2006 and were granted Entry Clearance or Leave to Remain (LTR) and fall into one of the following categories Global Visas can help you today:

  • Have you already settled in the United Kingdom under HSMP or Tier 1 (General) on the basis of having completed five years continuous residence in a qualifying category?
  • Have you completed four years continuous residence in the UK in a qualifying category?
  • Are coming up to having completed four years continuous residence in the UK in a qualifying category
  • Did you apply for ILR after four years but were refused, and either     won an appeal against the refusal decision and were then granted permission to stay, or, did not appeal the refusal decision or have your appeal dismissed
  • Did you complete four years continuous residence in the United Kingdom in a qualifying category and submit an application for Further Leave to Remain (FLR)

If you fall into any of the above categories you are most likely eligible for a one-off payment from the Home Office and can apply for settlement immediately.

Contact Global Visas today to find out if you qualify. If you are eligible Global Visas can handle your application for citizenship and secure you your one-off payment. The Home Office have made this a time limited offer, it is important you get your application in as soon as possible.

If you wish to work in the UK and are currently outside the European Economic Area, or are here under a different immigration category, you should now apply as a highly skilled worker (Tier 1 General) under the points-based system.

Tier 1 Visas

As of the 29th February 2008, all HSMP applications from candidates already living and working in the UK will be submitted under Tier 1 of the new Points Based System (PBS) for managed migration to the UK.

Tier 1 visas are part of a five-tier immigration system which will be rolled out in the UK throughout 2008-2009.

Tier 1 visas directly replace the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme and will be issued in four categories:

•    General
•    Post study work
•    Entrepreneur
•    Investor
