Somebody call the cops there’s an imposter about.
But seriously this is no laughing matter. There is a company in Canada that has been trading under the name Global Visa. Ok, well that’s not great for us as they have obviously ripped our name off, but hey there’s nothing you can do about these things in the world of business (edit: well we might have done actually). What is giving us cause for concern, and no doubt the Director’s of the company sleepless nights, is the fact that this company is up to no good. Yes you read right.
We’ve been informed by the Global Visas (that’s us – Global Visa-s) Canada office, that the CSIC, the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants – that’s the regulatory body in Canada, has issued a consumer alert against this company.
So just to clear this up we’ve now decided to change our name to Global Visas Visas (edit: this was put into the office suggestion box by me, but refused), just so that people do not mistake our 15-year old company, that only employs CSIC registered lawyers with these imposters, that are now on the CSIC’s most wanted list.
So just to echo the CSIC’s words;
“Don’t be fooled by dishonest people pretending to be accredited immigration consultants. If you hire an immigration consultant be sure to verify that they are members of the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC). You can do this by checking for their name on the CSIC members list.”
And to add some of my own, a company by the name of Global Visa, no matter how familiar sounding is nothing but an imitation of the real thing. Global Visas®
