Move to Canada and enjoy a happy working life

Work in Canada and be happy
Half of those who have work in Canada are happy in their jobs, says a recent survey.
The Labour Day poll commissioned by online job search firm Monster.ca shows 46% of people who work in Canada feel they have more job security today than they did at the same time last year. Public sector workers felt the most secure (53%) compared with 42% of private sector Canadian workers.
The survey, which was carried out in August, also discovered that 88% of Canadian workers were satisfied with their current employment situation. Canadians living in Manitoba and Saskatchewan were the most secure in their jobs compared to the rest of the country.
Canada's unemployment rate is now 8.6% and there are signs the country is emerging from recession. Throughout the global economic turmoil, Canada has always kept its doors open to skilled migrants who applied for Canadian visas and work permits. It seems the strategy is paying off.
The findings of the survey also found that 33% of people thought job security was the top “perk”. This was closely followed by 31% of people who said a work/life balance was the best thing about their job.
The survey was conducted by the Harris-Decima polling company on behalf of Monster.ca. "Although we've seen daily reports of layoffs and plant closures, Canadians are feeling pretty good about how they make a living," said Peter Gilfillan, general manager of Monster Canada. "Anxiety levels seem to be going down, and that's really encouraging."
