From 22 June to 04 July 2009, a series of events are being organised in the UK in an attempt to show people that an Australia visa is a great option for people wanting to improve their quality of lives.
The events, entitled G'Day UK, are targeted at businesses, tourists and people looking to secure an Australian visa and hopes to convey what the country has to offer in terms of employment, investment opportunity and lifestyle.
Events include the Australia Needs Skills Expo from 27-28 June, which showcases some of the great opportunities for people to gain Australian visas in one of the many areas where labour market shortages still exist. Other events aimed at attracting investment and tourism include Australian wine receptions, wine courses and a CEO forum.
Support for the events is widespread and sponsors include airline Quantas and London’s largest shopping centre, Westfield.
John Dauth, the Australian High Commissioner in the UK, also supports G'Day UK: "Australia and Britain are exceptionally close partners in many fields of endeavour. G’Day UK will naturally highlight the exciting diversity and depth of these existing ties, but more importantly it will forge new paths towards even stronger business, cultural and interpersonal relationships between us."
