Americans want to visit Australia

Americans seek Australian visas
If Americans had endless amounts of money, they’d all be applying for Australian visas. That’s according to The Harris Poll of Americans, which found that Australia is the favourite travel destination for American citizens.
The survey – which is conducted every year - asked Americans where they would go if money was not a consideration. Since 1997, Australia has topped the list every year except last year, when Italy beat it to the top spot.
Americans would also like to make a temporary move to UK (number three), France (number four), and Ireland (number five).
Those respondents who actually intend to visit Australia will need to obtain the appropriate Australian visa. America does not have a reciprocal arrangement with Australia in respect of its young people, therefore Australian working holiday visas are not an option for young Americans. Instead, they will need to apply for an Australian tourist visa, or ETA visa.
In an economic climate where the “staycation” is becoming more common than the vacation, it’s no surprise Americans are attracted by the idea of a trip to a different part of the globe.
