Amy Winehouse needs US visa to marry in Las Vegas

Rumours are all over the newspapers and the internet that soul singer Amy Winehouse is set to re-marry her jailbird ex Blake Fielder Civil in a Las Vegas ceremony. However, there is one thing standing in her way – a US visa.

Winehouse was previously refused a US work visa as a result of her convictions for assaulting a fan and possessing cannabis. However, several reports now claim that she is re-applying for a US visa to allow her to marry her on-off partner in Las Vegas. Last time the pair married, they tied the knot in Miami.

One source stated, "she chose not to marry in Miami again because she thinks it could be a bad omen. She can't stop talking to people about their future together."

However, a report in the Mirror claimed that the rumours were unfounded and that Fielder Civil would be unable to travel to the US, let alone be granted a US visa, as it would break his rehab conditions. A source close to Winehouse told the Mirror that if Amy applies for a US visa again, it would be a US work visa. He explained, "if and when Amy applies for a visa, it will be for work. Blake's rehab means he's not going to be rushing into marriage, so planning a wedding in Vegas within weeks is not only not wanted by them both, it's also impossible!"
