Call Jakob Zuma for South Africa visa

South African President Jakob Zuma is ready and waiting to take your calls about any issue from getting a South African visa in or out of the country and anything else you need information about.

The President’s toll-free telephone hotline is set to open to members of the public at the end of the month.

The hotline number, which will be open between 7.30am and 10pm, will be announced at the end of this week, says a report in BUA News.

Deputy Director General, Vusi Mona said: "The launch of the hotline will be before the end of September. All infrastructure and systems are in place and call centre agents have been trained."

The R4 million service will let members of the public contact the President’s office in Johannesburg with any question or complaint they may have about the government.

The government expects 1,500 calls per day and calls will be handled by 21 telephone agents who have been trained on all aspects of government, from South African immigration to taxation.

These agents will be supported by a network of public liaison officers. Each department and each province has assigned a public liaison officer who will help deal with enquires that can not be solved by the Presidency alone.

Some lucky callers may get to speak with the President himself. Zuma will have a direct link to an online platform where he can take calls directly, depending on his schedule and when he is available.

Mona said: "This project is very close to the heart of the President, It's one of his pet projects."
