Bradford Bulls secure two top aussies to join their ranks.

Two Australian Rugby League players have been awarded UK work visas to allow them to play for the Bradford Bulls this season.

Heath L’Estrange and Brett Kearney have now received their UK work permits and are due to move to the UK in time to begin pre-season training with the UK rugby league team.

Stuart Duffy, the Bradford Bulls’ media and football manager, said: "It's a major boost to us and our supporters to know that Brett and Heath have had their UK work visas approved, although we never had any reason to suspect they would not be and they will be here on schedule for pre-season training."

Kearney’s visa application was made on rather last-minute terms as he was waiting until he was married to apply. However, L’Estrange obtained his UK visa several weeks ago as he was recruited as a replacement for Terry Newton, who moved to Wakefield.

Glenn Hall, another Australian player who hopes to join the Bulls this season, is still awaiting his visa. Duffy said it should be on its way: "We have spoken to the High Commission in Canberra regarding Glenn Hall, who reapplied due to changes in his family circumstances, and we expect his UK visa will be approved later this week or early next.”
