August 17 2009 by Matt Jones
Court will deny Senf a Canada visa
A German man living in Canada, who established a relationship with a young girl over the Internet and then travelled to her house, has been deported.
Torsten Senf, a 37-year old German, was living in Canada on a work visa when he was arrested on 2 November 2008 after travelling to the house of a 13-year old girl he met online. He pled guilty on trial and after spending a year in a Canadian prison, he has finally been deported back to Germany.
Senf was placed on Canada’s sex offender registry after he pled guilty to lendangering the safety of a minor. There was no physical relationship between Senf and the child but he had pursued her in the hope of commiting an indecent act.
Senf will not be allowed another visa for Canada and has been ordered to never return.
