Fly to Australia for 10GBP but be sure to obtain an Australian visa first

Fly with Australian visa

Brits can fly cheaper with an Australian visa

The high street travel agency STA will, in three week’s time, run a promotion in which 150 flights to Australia for those who want to live and work in Australia will be released for just £10 each.

The £10 Pom promotion will give its lucky winners the chance to fly to Australia for next to nothing: however, the prize could be effectively wasted if winners have not obtained their work holiday Australian visas in time as this is a condition of the promotion.

While in most cases a working holiday Australia visa is granted within 48 hours of the application being submitted, certain circumstances can result in it taking much longer. For example, people who have recently traveled to Thailand or other countries where diseases like Tuberculosis are prevalent may be asked to submit to a medical examination before their Australian visas are granted. This can delay the visa approval by up to a month.

Having a criminal record – even for a minor offense like a drunk and disorderly conviction – can mean that an Australian working holiday visa can take up to two weeks to obtain. Those with more serious convictions may find their potetial move to Australia may take even longer to process.
