Australia visa holders from India recieve guide
Indian students looking to move to Australia to study are now to receive a printed guide explaining everything they could want to know about being a student in Australia. The guides will be handed out when they receive their student visas.
In a further attempt by Australian immigration to encourage Indian students to study in Australia, the ‘Guide to studying and living in Australia’ will be given to every visa holder before they move to Australia from India. It contains important information, which should help student to settle in Australia after they have moved.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said that it is important that Australia portrays itself not only as a provider of high quality educational services but as a safe place for Indian students to study.
In addition to the guide, an International Student Roundtable conference is to be held over two days in Australia’s capital from 14 September. The Roundtable is taking place so ministers can hear directly from students about their Australia visa experiences. Any concerns that arise during the roundtable will then be discussed in November at the inaugural Ministerial Council.
