The illegal immigrant who worked as a housekeeper for Baroness Scotland, the Attorney General, today admitted the charge of using a fake UK visa for over two years.

Loloahi Tapui, who is originally from Tonga pleaded guilty to possessing falsified documents at London’s Southwark Crown Court.

Baroness Scotland was fined £5000 after a national newspaper exposed the story that she was in breach of UK immigration laws by employing Miss Tapui as a house-cleaner in her West-London family home.

The Labour peer refused to accept calls for her to resign from her £113,000 a year job by claiming to be a victim of the housekeeper’s lies.

Lady Scotland has claimed that she insisted Miss Tapui show every piece of identity documentation required by law - including a passport.

This is refuted by Miss Tapui, who says she never showed the 53-tear old barrister any documents that proved the right to work in the UK.
