Indians move to the US to head up large corporations

Indians moving to US dominate list of top CEO's.
Forbes has
recently published a list of the top CEOs from India who are working in the US,
which shows that Indian immigrants are a force to be reckoned with when it comes
to the US business world.
The top executive on the list is PepsiCo’s CEO
Indira Nooyi. Forbes stated, "the chief executive of PepsiCo would be prominent
no matter what. The fact that the current one - Indira Nooyi - is an Indian
immigrant (and female, in case you've been living under a rock) makes her all
the more noteworthy."
Forbes quotes Richard Herman, the author of a book
about migrants living in the UK. He asserts, "It's not a not a surprise that
we're seeing Indians rise in corporate ranks," adding, "of all the immigrant
groups coming in today, Indians are head-and-shoulders above others, and this is
partly because of their English language skills and also the advanced education
that many of them are bringing to the US."
The number of Indian
immigrants heading up major US corporations is still a tiny fraction in the
grand scheme of things, but the numbers are certainly up from ten years ago. The
Forbes article says that more and more firms are being led or even created by
foreign nationals moving to the US on work visas.
