Leah Wood not regretting move to Australia
March 10 2010 by Liam Clifford
After her parents’ painful and public divorce, Leah Wood, the daughter of Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood, decided to up sticks and start a new life living in Australia.
Wood moved to Australia at the end of January with her
husband, a TV producer, and their nine-month old daughter Maggie and says she is
“not missing anyone.”
The decision to move was sparked by the news that
her father was leaving her mother, Jo Wood, for a woman 40 years younger than
himself. Leah explained that by the end of 2009, it had all become too much for
her, "by the end of last year, I was like "I have to get out. I want a new life.
A fresh start. Let's just go to Australia".
Leah, who is now living in
Sydney, says she is enjoying the “pure” lifestyle that comes with living in
Australia. “I'm not missing anyone, and I know that sounds horrible but I'm just
enjoying being away. My husband is Australian and I love the lifestyle and the
pureness of this city. It's really easy to be organic here. I want the best for
my little Maggie.”
