RSCA gives reasons to move to Australia
A new report from the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association (RCSA) has found that employment prospects for people planning to move to Australia for work are improving.
Professions including certain trades, nursing and health professions continue to be ‘in demand’ in Australia due to skills shortages.
Around two-thirds of those questioned by the RCSA said they are expecting their business to grow over the current quarter. The survey found that firms are less concerned about the future of the economy and about their ability to take on staff and make a profit.
The chief executive of the RCSA, Julie Mills, said, "as confidence returns, there will be pockets of the labour market where skilled people continue to be in short supply." She added, "employers need to be focused on attracting and retaining talent while it's relatively easy to do so."
Healthcare professionals are particularly in demand as Australia embarks on a increased research projects involving national health initiatives.
This industry needs to be able to attract more work visa holders who have the necessary skills to work in Australia in healthcare. These people will eventually be able to apply for a permanent residency Australia visa, which will allow them to continue to live there long term.
