Australian firms optimistic about improvement in economy as people moving to Australia looks set to increase.
There
is good news for people who want to make a move to Australia with a
work visa, as a global survey finds Australian firms to be the third
most optimistic about the future.
Indicating that there should be plenty of work in Australia in the
coming years, the survey by Grant Thomson found Western Australia to be
the most optimistic state. The survey examined the attitudes of 7,400
business owners in 36 economies.
The examination of 250 Australian firms was carried out in October 2009
and found that 79 per cent of those interviewed were optimistic about
the domestic economy, compared with 11 per cent the year before. In
Western Australia, the level of optimism rose to 90 per cent.
The mining sector in Western Australia is expected to be particularly
strong in the years to come after a spell of heavy investment. In turn,
this is expected to generate job for work visa holders moving to
Australia.
Grant Thomson’s Tony Markwell said Australian firms had survives well
in the global financial crisis by exploiting their size and flexibility.
