Canadian Immigration are facing a crisis after 1000 lone children have turned up at the Canada border over a period of four years.

It is thought that unscrupulous visa consultants are encouraging children to do this so they can sponsor their parents for a Canada visa once they have gained entry into the country.

Several children a week are turning up at Niagara Falls border crossings alone and in need of help from Canadian Immigration.  Many of these unaccompanied minors have experienced terrible suffering and are usually granted entry into Canada

Once they turn 18-years old they are able to sponsor their parents to move to Canada. This is now thought to be the purpose of their visit, having been encouraged to make this daring move by unethical visa consultants.

Until the children are 16-years old they are looked after by the Children’s Aid Society and, after that, they are able to apply for other funding sources such as housing benefits.

Richard Kurland, an immigration lawyer said:  "If we are spending billions of dollars to fight the Taliban, we can open our doors to a few kids seeking sanctuary in Canada."
