The look on the UK immigration minister’s face when taxpayers find out about negligent expense claims - priceless.

Ironically, at the time, UK immigration minister Phil Woolas and every other MP could claim up to £400 without supplying receipts, so why did Woolas submit a receipt that would come back to haunt him and his alternative lifestyle almost 5 years later?!
“I am being hung out to dry for being honest,” he claimed.
I think it's the jumper being hung out to dry Phil.
“The key points to remember is that I don’t need to submit receipts to back the claims and I could have actually claimed £400 for the food,” said the Minister.
- But you didn't Phil, you also bought shoes, a blouse and tampons.
On Saturday Woolas told the BBC he didn’t claim for the items, he claims he submitted the receipt but categorically denied ever receiving money for the items.
The Telegraph disputed this claim and produced evidence of further claims for women’s items, including £15 for a blouse, two packets of disposable bibs £5.96, three comics £5.14, two packs of baby wipes £2.88.
In further irony the UK immigration minister described the expenses records obtained by the Telegraph as ‘stolen property.’
