New signing 'will' happen in the January transfer window for the 'Bhoys'
Celtic, the Scottish football team, this week confirmed they are simply awaiting the go-ahead from UK immigration on their next big signing. The club are awaiting Ki Sung-yueng’s work visa and say they are ready to finalise a deal with the South Korean international.
Sung-yeung agreed terms with the SPL champions back in August, and is scheduled to move to the club in the New Year when the transfer window reopens.
However, eyebrows were raised last month, when the chairman, Dr. John Reid, appeared to make an admission about the signing, he said; "Celtic are extremely hopeful of securing the transfer in the coming months."
Obtaining a work permit shouldn’t be a problem for the 20 year old FC Seoul midfielder, who is a regular first team member for the South Korea national squad.
