UK immigration staff have cancelled their proposed walkout after agreeing on new work terms with management.
A 24-hour strike was due to take place on Wednesday (August 5) but union officials were able to argue with the UK Border Agencyfor better terms for their members.
No details are as yet available as to what the agreement is.
1,200 UK Border Agency workers were set to strike at airports and ports across the country. The action would have severely disrupted travel during the holiday season.
