More temp jobs for UK immigrants

According to recruitment specialists, the temporary job market in the UK is showing positive signs.

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) says the job market for temporary workers, which includes foreigners who live and work in the UK on temporary work visas, is “slowly returning to life.”

The fall in the recruitment of temporary workers was at its lowest level in ten months during July. The figures were taken from a survey of over 400 recruitment agencies.

Temporary jobs provide opportunities for both employees and employers and the chance to employ someone on a temporary basis is often welcomed by firms trying to deal with the effects of the recession. The REC stated, “The employment landscape remains volatile at best but life is slowly returning to the temporary work market. Flexible working options will continue to provide a crucial outlet for both jobseekers and employers over the coming months.”

Meanwhile, KPMG’s head of business services, Bernard Brown, reiterated the positive sounds stating, “While it’s early days, and despite staff availability continuing to rise this month, the market may start to show slight signs of improvement by the end of the year."

This can only be good news for oveseas workers on a UK work visa.
