Workers found working illegally for key Government offices

Fresh UK immigration scandal for the Labour Government.
Ten foreign-workers have been found to be illegally working at Becket House, the South London HQ of the UK Border Agency.
Two further illegal immigrants also managed to find employment at the Home Office’s Whitehall offices, one of which was even given the job of security guard.
It has since been uncovered that hundreds more were employed at thirty-four local authorities and fifty-four NHS trusts across the country, figures released under the Freedom of Information Act have shown.
The news comes as a fresh blow to the home secretary, Alan Johnson, who only recently admitted that the Labour Government had been inept over its handling of UK immigration.
The new scandal follows Attorney General Baroness Scotland, who was recently fined £5,000 for employing an illegal immigrant as a housekeeper.
Shadow Home Secretary Chris Grayling said in a statement: “This is an absolute scandal for UK immigration. The Government has been seen to take tough action against private companies over the employment of illegal immigrants in this country, yet on this evidence it is quite clear the public sector has taken on bogus workers and escaped any form of censure.”
